I am Yilin Shen, a RISD 2025 illustration student.
Born and raised in Shanghai and now in Rhode Island, US, I find joy in weaving narratives through my illustrations, paintings, graphic designs, and, most uniquely, through motion designs.
My artistic journey is fueled by the vibrant media landscapes and the nuanced whimsy suitable for children oriented work, editorial work, and character design in the IP realm for companies. My distinctive style has garnered professional acclaim, earning me two shortlist accolades in the prestigious Communication Arts (CA) competitions. I take pride in my ability to swiftly deliver high-quality work, a skill honed through a broad range of internships spanning illustration, visual design, and retail environments.
